Volunteer

Rolling up your sleeves for hands-on work at a permaculture site with like-minded people is one of the best ways to learn about permaculture. Occasionally we welcome volunteers on some of our project sites. Please contact us to find out more.

Volunteering With Us

  • Mumu Garden: A 5-acre family homestead. Farming regeneratively while living simply and quietly. The land is degraded at the moment but we are improving soil fertility and planting trees. Rainwater harvesting, compost toilet, food garden, agroforestry, dogs, goats. Need help with anything related to farm life, including gardening, building, cooking, babysitting. Located at Tampin, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.
  • A Little Wild: Transitioning a 138-acre oil palm plantation into a mixed fruit orchard based on permaculture and syntropic agroforestry techniques. Located at Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia.

There are also permaculture sites in the region that welcome volunteers. Here are some that we know of.

Sitting at our back doorsteps, all we need to live a good life lies about us. Sun, wind, people, buildings, stones, sea, birds and plants surround us. Cooperation with all these things brings harmony, opposition to them brings disaster and chaos.”

― Bill Mollison
